A revista GQ resolveu compilar a sua própria lista dos 100 melhores jogos de todos os tempos. Para que eles fizessem esta lista, foram entrevistados desenvolvedores, jornalistas, streamers, diretores conhecidos e mais, cerca de 300 pessoas no total.
A metodologia foi a seguinte: Cada participante foi responsável por selecionar pessoalmente uma lista dos dez primeiros classificados. O primeiro colocado recebeu 10 pontos, enquanto o décimo colocado recebeu 1 ponto.
No final das contas, foram criadas 239 listas, com surpreendentes 652 jogos recebendo pelo menos um voto.
O que ficou no topo não foi só o jogo que teve mais votos, mas também ocupou o primeiro lugar na preferência das pessoas mais vezes do que qualquer outro concorrente.
O grande vencedor dos 100 melhores jogos de todos os tempos foi The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, seguido por The Last of Us.
